Instructor Training
Assistant Instructor / Open Water Scuba Instructor

PADI, the world’s largest diver-training organization, produces the finest instructor training programs available. Dive Connections provides a professional learning experience in which you will learn how to teach diving utilizing the most current tools and techniques. An Instructor Development Course, IDC, really has four components:

Assistant Instructor Course (AI),
Open Water SCUBA Instructor Course (OWSI),
Emergency First Responder Instructor Course (EFRI), and
Instructor Exam (IE)

Our focus is not just on passing the IE, but on developing your individual talents to become a competent, confident and successful instructor for today's diving environment. You will be equipped with an excellent understanding of the diving industry, scuba course promotional techniques, progressive instructional methods and state of the art diving information. Our programs draw upon a group of experienced IDC Staff Instructors, which provide you with a variety of teaching styles and a wealth of knowledgeable mentors from which to draw advice. Remembering that everyone begins this sport for fun, we endeavor to make the programs as enjoyable as possible for the candidates and staff alike. A member of our teaching staff will attend your Instructor Examination to offer moral support and ensure success.
