My
husband and I signed up for an Open Water class in summer 1999, planning to go
on a Caribbean dive vacation the following spring. Our check-out dives were at
Bainbridge Quarry in Pennsylvania. As an avid swimmer, I viewed diving as
taking my favorite sport to greater depths. Later that summer, escaping the
heat and humidity in the calm depths of that chilly Pennsylvania quarry, I
discovered diving as the ultimate healthy diversion.
I
completed my divemaster program in January 2003 and have been an instructor
since September 2003. As a divemaster and instructor, I have had the total
pleasure of introducing students to the underwater world, learning from each
class, experiencing new things with every dive trip, and meeting wonderful
people. It just doesn’t get better than that!
