Known mostly as a tourist attraction and a cruise ship spot, St. Maarten actually offers exceptional diving. The outlying wreck and reef sites offer fantastic dives for all levels of diving with a wide variety of marine life and excellent photo opportunities. Additional opportunities for advance divers available.

The tourist aspects allow the island to offer plenty of above water site-seeing destinations, shopping and night life as well as infrastructure. Below the surface, Saint Maarten allows you the opportunity to see a variety of large and small sea life. We will be diving with Ocean Explorers a PADI 5-star dive center. They offer a very unique, eco-friendly experience that highlights preserving and protecting our richest and most valued commodity, our oceans. They try very hard to cater to each individual diver no matter their experience. Diving with Lu and Jeff is more about your diving experience as to what they bring to you and their vast knowledge of the environment and who they are personally. You will end this experience considering them friends and not just people you dove with.

Our accommodations will be at La Vista Beach, a small quaint family-owned beach resort with exceptional views and service. You can see the island of Saba on a clear day. The 2-bedroom units (1 king/2 twin) have a fully equipped kitchen, 1 full bath per bedroom, private ocean view balcony and Wi-Fi.

The resort offers a pool couple steps right outside your bedroom overlooking the ocean as well an infinity pool located by the bar/restaurant The Hideaway. The resort is located less than a mile from Ocean Explorers, a comfortable walk along the beach with coffee in hand in the morning.
